Advisory Board for Clinical Trials
The performance of the tasks of the Coordination Centre for Clinical Trials is managed by the director. The rector
of the university is the professional, while the chancellor is the economic supervisor of the director. The work of
the Coordination Centre for Clinical Trials (KVKK) is supported by the Advisory Board for Clinical Trials which is a
consultative body. Its aim is to increase the efficiency of clinical trials at the university. The tasks of the Board
include monitoring and evaluating the ongoing commercial and non-commercial clinical trials at the university,
developing a strategy for increasing the efficiency of clinical trials, and helping with the dissemination of the
results of the clinical trials in international journals. The Board meets at least twice a year.
Its members are the chancellor, the representatives of the Faculty of General Medicine (1 person), the Faculty of
Pharmacy (1 person), the Faculty of Health Sciences (1 person), the Regional Research Ethics Committee (RKEB) (1
person), the Clinical Centre (3 persons). Also board members are the director of the KVKK, the chairman of the
Clinical Centre, and the head of the HECRIN consortium or the person delegated by him.
The Board held its first meeting on 9 December 2019, and elected Prof Kálmán Tóth as the its chairman.
