OUR HISTORY
The Registration Centre for Human Clinical Trials (HKVRK) was established in 2008 within the Central Pharmacy of the Clinical Centre, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Lajos Botz. HKVRK was the first in the country to introduce the single-gate contract model. All our clients conclude a contract with a single partner which is the University of Pécs. By using this model to carry out clinical trials makes the processes simple and more transparent. HKVRK carries out the uniform registration of clinical trials. It also reviews the related medical and legal contracts. The HKVRK prepares and submits the financial and medical accounts, monitors the implementation in accordance to the contract, checks the compliance with the legislation and supervises the enforcement of these during clinical trials. HKVRK ensures that the Clinical Centre prepares publications about the clinical trials in compliance with current legislation, and prepares annual summary evaluation of the clinical trials performed.
The Registration Centre for Human Clinical Trials was renamed as Coordination Centre for Clinical Trials (KVKK) according to the Organisational and Operating Regulations of the University of Pécs by the Dean of the University of Pécs on 01 July 2019.
The new KVKK is an independent organisational unit under the direct management of the Rector of the University.
