PROFESSIONAL ORGANISATIONS

HUNGARIAN ASSOCIATION OF CLINICAL TRIAL ORGANISERS (MKVT)

The Hungarian Association of Clinical Trial Organisers (MKVT) is a non-governmental organization of professionals which deals with clinical trials. The association brings together the pharmaceutical industry, the Contract Research Organisations (CRO), academic institutions and government authorities.

The MKVT was founded in 2001 with the aim of creating a forum for professionals involved in clinical trials.

The MKVT wants to increase the competitiveness of Hungarian clinical trials both globally and within the region by utilising and sharing the experience accumulated over more than a decade.

The MKVT aims to maintain patient trust in human clinical trials.

The MKVT is a member of Federation of Hungarian Medical Societies and Associations (Magyar Orvostársaságok és Egyesületek Szövetsége, MOTESZ) and International Federation of Associations of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Pharmaceutical Medicine (IFAPP), a strategic partner of the Hungarian Society for Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology (MFT).

Activities of the MKVT includes representation of professional interests, collaborating with authorities and institutional partners, participating in legislation, working with patient organisations, training of clinical research associates, organising continuous professional development courses (eg. university-level pharmaceutical medicine/science), and providing international forum for professionals.
