DEPARTMENT OF UROLOGY

INTRODUCTION

 
Our department is the centre of urology for the Southern Transdanubia region of Hungary. Our inpatient unit has 72 beds. The annual number of patients in our outpatient department is approximately 31,000. We perform 3,200 procedures in our three operating theatres every year. 
Our main profile is surgical treatment of urological cancers using open and laparoscopic techniques. 
We operate as a national centre for the therapy of testicular and penile tumours.

We also carry out upper and lower urinary tract endoscopic surgeries and laser interventions to treat urinary tract stones and benign prostate changes. 

Our department has outstanding experience in clinical trials which aim the treatment of uroinfectological and uro-oncological (prostate, bladder cancer) pathologies.
