If I participate in the clinical trial, do I need to see my regular physicians?
You will be treated together with your family doctor and your health care specialists. You will have the opportunity - and you are
encouraged - to see your health care providers for check-ups.
How can I get answers to my further questions about the investigations?
If you are suitable for the trial our medical colleagues will meet with you in person to discuss the exact details, benefits and potential risks
of the clinical trial. You can ask any further questions you may have, either at this meeting or at a later stage. You will receive detailed answers to your questions.
What does it mean that I agree to participate?
Once you have received detailed information about the study from our specialist and all your questions have been answered to your
satisfaction, you will need to sign a document to confirm your willingness to participate in the trial.
Can I get change my mind?
Naturally, you may change your previous decision at any time, even without giving reasons.
How frequent are the inspection visits?
This varies from examination to examination, and you will receive a precise answer to this question during the consultation with the specialist. In general, it can be said that at the beginning of the investigation there are more frequent checks (e.g. every two weeks, monthly), and later on It is necessary to have a check-up every 2-3 or even 6 months, but this may vary from examination to examination.
How much waiting time should I expect?
THERE IS NO OR VERY LITTLE WAITING TIME. Our patients who participate in the study take part in our ward rounds following their
appointments. Typically there is no waiting time. It is important for us to adhere to the pre-arranged appointments for our trial
participants.
Do I have to pay to participate in the tests?
NO. Participation in the study is always free of charge for our patients. You will not pay for the medical examination and for any additional
laboratory tests (blood, urine).
Do I have to pay for the study drug?
NO. In all cases, we provide you with the test product free of charge.
Can I get travel expenses reimbursed?
YES. In all cases, we reimburse the cost of travel for our trial patients between their places of residence and the places of their
examination.
